A confused, confusable, and confusing dad, husband, and son. A good professional, a better amateur. Writing weird fiction, poems, observations, and reflections.

Born an only child; raised with my imaginary siblings by a single, caring, and spoiling mother; supported by odd but loving grandparents; complicatedly loved and abandoned by my now deceased father, a strange combination I know. He fancied himself a writer and generally clever. What’s that saying about apples and trees?

Growing up, I loved watching sports, playing board games, whiffle ball, and other sporting-related activities with friends, music, and television… it was the 70s.

An awkward, shy, and introverted teen. Nothing has changed, except for age.

I completely married UP (she makes me better every day) and have two wonderful, intelligent, loving, and caring adult children. My life would be dramatically worse without them… or, said in a more glass half-full way, my life is dramatically better with them.

Afflicted with wanderlust and currently suffering a mid-life crisis, which concurrently facilitates mild depression, moderate anxiety, and severe urges to write!

Enjoy learning about physics and the universe, practicing mindfulness, close proximity to water, sunshine, warmth, and just hanging.

A recovering probation officer, probation supervisor, and juvenile services director. Currently employed as a treatment services director and counselor. I work with others’ pain but often find healing. It’s a privilege.

“A budding author,” said Captain Obvious.

Life was meant to be lived… I just wanna experience it. Spent too many years trying to prove myself to others, basing worth on achievement, and avoiding feelings. Time to be happy rather than looking for moments of happiness. Time to balance achievement with fulfillment. Time to feel feelings.
